ABOUT US
Humanity To Others -"I am as We Are"
OUR BEGINNING
In 2014, Oglah Koech founded the Oglah's Hope Foundation, driven by her deep connection to her hometown of Eldoret, even as she pursued her dreams in the United States. She couldn't ignore the challenges her community faced, particularly in education, healthcare, and economic opportunity, which she witnessed during a visit in 2009. Determined to make a difference and give back to her roots, she established the foundation.
Education has been a central focus from the outset, with the belief that knowledge has the power to transform lives. The foundation has impacted thousands of primary school students, turning schools and churches into beacons of hope and inspiration. But Oglah's vision extended beyond classrooms; the foundation has been involved in constructing churches, supporting fundraising efforts, and contributing to a children's hospital, emphasizing the importance of faith and community.
Recognizing the significance of life skills and financial literacy, the foundation has conducted workshops for both primary and high school students, instilling in them the belief that they can shape their destinies regardless of their circumstances. Additionally, the foundation empowers women through financial literacy classes, enabling them to achieve financial independence and support their families. Overall, Oglah's Hope Foundation is committed to holistic community development, touching lives through education, faith, and empowerment.

OUR FUTURE
The foundation's work continues to expand, touching more lives and leaving a profound impact on the community. What began as a humble dream in 2014 had grown into a transformative force, a testament to the enduring power of compassion, dedication, and the unwavering commitment to making the world a better place.
Today, Oglah's Hope Foundation stands as a living testament to the belief that one person's determination, rooted in love for their community, can ignite a spark of hope that can light up an entire region. It serves as a reminder that no matter how far one may travel, the ties to one's homeland remain strong, and the responsibility to give back endures.
The story of the foundation is not just about one individual's journey; it's a story of resilience, unity, and the extraordinary impact that can be achieved when the heart is in the right place, and the vision is unwavering. It is a story of hope, a beacon shining bright in the heart of Kapseret County, Eldoret, Kenya, and beyond.

EDUCATION & TRAINING
We engage in various education programs such as building schools, libraries and teacher empowerment. Our Foundation currently supports 7 schools.
We also do life-changing leadership workshops such as Quantum Leap so as to prepare students achieve their full potential. Each time we have them go through an 8 hour training then write down their life goal and we look forward to seeing what they become.

COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
Throughout our mission our focus is to empower the community that the children we work with come from. We do this through environmental initiatives such as tree planting and sanitation projects such as building modern, cleaner bathrooms, dorms and dining areas. Over the years we have build a girls dormitory and equipped it with beds, built bathrooms for 3 schools, and planted hundreds of trees.

WOMEN AND CHILDREN EMPOWERMENT
Our other focus is to empower the women and children to be achieve their full potential. We do this through women's seminars and also share information and knowledge that helps them develop both socially and economically. We have groups that we engage and support one another through various challenges in life through fundraising and family visits.
